THE LYTTON DC STORY

Lytton Design and Construction is a Melbourne based residential builder completing renovations and new builds.

Managing director and founder, Richard McDonald grew up at LYTTON, an irrigation and grazing property located in the Riverina region of southern New South Wales. LYTTON taught Richard his most defining lesson. One's relationship with their home is a romance from which the fabric of life is sewn.

With respect to LYTTON's legacy, the LYTTON DC crew dedicate the best we have to offer; our care, invention and craftsmanship.

RICHARD MCDONALD

MANAGING DIRECTOR / FOUNDER

Richard McDonald has a unique eye and strength for designing and building just about anything.

A product of five generations of self-taught engineers that specialised in irrigation infrastructure development, civil, industrial, and domestic construction. From these life influences, Rich has developed the ambition to build anything he finds inspiring and challenging, and one of his happiest forms is when he is doing so.

Rich's focus is on the efficiency of the project. Addressing problems through a buildability approach, he has the talent not only to produce complex beautiful features but to integrate these features into the structure as a whole.

Nath is LYTTON'S young gun at age 28. He is wise beyond his years and skills are of the highest standard. Nath conceptualises his work thinking 3 steps ahead at all stages of a project. He represents the key LYTTON values, work ethic, dedication, trust and positivity. Nath services a lot of rural clients across Victoria from the Bass Coast to the Grampians and leaves a lasting impression.

Callum Matheson consistently impresses our clients not only with his great nature but his beautiful workmanship. Callum's abilities with materials such as timber and steel is something rarely seen in the construction industry. Creative Director of Hark Studio, Callum is a master craftsman with extensive experience designing and manufacturing bespoke furniture and custom joinery.

We pride ourselves on relationships and transparency with our clients, disclosing all trades and subcontractors used. If you "know a guy" we are happy to collaborate in the scope of works.
